Technician of the Month

Each month, we recognize one technician who has gone above and beyond to help us achieve our goals. This month, we’re highlighting pharmacy technician Delaney Santon, HVAC technician Eduardo Alvarez, Progress Management’s Pedro Marquina, and ABC’s Jay Williams. Congratulations to all!

Pharmacy technician Delaney Santon

Pharmacy technician Delaney Santon has earned numerous accolades and recognitions during her career. She has been nominated for the Best of the Best Pharmacy Award and is one of the most dedicated team members at Safeway #1687 in Washougal, Washington. Her colleagues have praised her dedication and willingness to put in extra hours. She was also nominated for the Outstanding Service Award by SingleCare, a free prescription savings service.

Santon has been a pharmacy technician for seven years. She started out at the Pacific Northwest Specialty Pharmacy in Vancouver, Washington. After her training, she moved to Camas Safeway and then moved on to Washougal Safeway in 2021. Santon, who graduated from Camas High School, firmly believes that critical-thinking skills, empathy, and creative problem-solving abilities are essential to be a good pharmacist. In addition, a pharmacy technician must be able to plan ahead for unexpected situations.

HVAC technician Eduardo Alvarez

As an HVAC technician, you are responsible for repairing and maintaining various systems. As a result, you have to develop a wide variety of skills. In addition, HVAC technicians are often responsible for the installation of new equipment and systems. This position requires a great deal of training and education.

Progress Management’s Pedro Marquina

Pedro is a long-term maintenance technician for Progress Management, since Jan 18, 1999. He is responsible for 114 units at Sunset Terrace, in El Cajon. During March, his property manager was out on an Emergency for a couple of weeks and there was limited office coverage. Pedro really held down the fort! He works hard without direction. Handled Investor inspections, Resident work orders, and coordinated unit turn- without a directive from his superiors or complaint.

ABC’s Jay Williams

Jay Williams was born and raised in Plainfield, New Jersey. He attended St. Joseph High School in Metuchen, where he excelled in chess and basketball. In high school, he received the nickname “Jay Dubs.” He played junior varsity soccer and volleyball and was named the state volleyball player of the year.

After completing his college education, he started working in sports broadcasting. He later joined ESPN, where he covered college basketball. He has also done motivational speaking. He’s currently a spokesperson for Visions Federal Credit Union, a New York-based financial institution.

Jay Williams is an early adopter of social media. Before joining Twitter, he worked at ESPN, where he hosted shows such as NBA Countdown, “The Jump,” and “The Boardroom.” He also hosts the morning show, “Get Up,” on ABC. The new multi-year contract will keep Williams in the spotlight.
